The real heroes in life are not the people we see in the last superhero movies, but our veterans according to Vice President and CFO Steve Bossenbroek.
This past Memorial Day, one of the companies that supports Sunset’s Benevolence Fund came to Sunset Retirement Communitiesto perform a hymn with all of the resident veterans. The group spent the day together, enjoying fellowship, and sharing their stories.
“For me what was great is that we talk about heroes in our society and I’m actually interacting with a real hero that’s given a lot for me and my country,” said Steve. “It reinforces why you’re at Sunset and why you do what you do.”
