Memory Care Options

At Sunset Communities we provide a plethora of options for memory care, as some residents may need different levels of attention and services, depending on their level of care. No matter the care level, our knowledgeable and experienced staff provides care specific to the individual needs of each resident.

Early Stage Memory Care

While every person will experience the early stages of Dementia or Alzheimer’s differently, our Early Stage Memory Care provides a calm environment that nurtures the needs of each resident. Residents will generally be between mild to moderate cognitive decline.  At this level of memory impairment, social interaction and mental stimulation can be the best medicine. Which is why our program’s focus is to engage with residents at a physically, mentally, and socially level.

Late State Memory Care

At this stage of memory care, our program’s focus will be on personable interactions and social engagements. As residents at this stage may see a more significant cognitive decline, calm and comforting stimulation on a personal level provides the ideal environment. At this stage, we also encourage as much family involvement as possible, as familiar and personal connections give our residents the comfort and engagement they need.
