Director of Brookcrest Emily Foster would walk almost every day with a resident who loved to be outdoors. Some days they would talk or tell stories, yet other times they would walk in silence just enjoying nature and each other’s company. For Emily, it is these ordinary moments that have helped her to form special relationships with her residents.
“It’s not just our place of work,” says Emily. “It’s a part of our lives, and when people truly feel that you don’t have to force the effort, it’s just there.”
